Channel Tunnel the quickest and easiest way to
get to France from
the UK
but not the cheapest.. Crossing only 35 mins and very frequent.
Speed
Ferries is THE cheapest way to get across the Channel.. Only 50
mins .The catamaran is not the
height of luxury or comfort but is excellent value. Limited daily
crossings
Docks at Boulogne..
Getting very popular. Book early to avoid disappointment.
P and O
Ferries is more expensive than Speed Ferries but a more luxurious
floating duty free shop. . Takes about 90mins. Frequent sailing times.
Brittany
Ferries is the longest sea crossing but leaves you with a shorter
journey when in France
(about 4 hours). Worth considering if you want to depart from
Portsmouth.
Ryanair flies from Stansted to Tours and can be very cheap if you
book early.
BMIBaby flies from Birmingham
to Bordeaux
which is a out 250 miles south of Maison des Reves
Hertz Rent a Car we have used Hertz many times and they are not expensive
in France
for the use of a brand new car.

French
Trains (SNFC) very reliable and civilised way to travel and not so
expensive. Worth checking out

there is a station for the
little local train in Varennes.
